This paper provides an overview of relevant literature about the emergence of the flipped classroom and its links to pedagogy and educational outcomes, followed by an analysis of the survey results of an English major writing course using a flipped classroom approach at Wuhan University of Technology. The questionnaire completed by English major students who have attended the course investigated students' attitudes as well as their perception of this new approach.
This paper mainly focuses on the English writing course designed for second-year English majors and investigates students' attitudes and perception towards it. This paper also contains investigation about the factors that influence students' perception.
