EverythingI Never Told You, written by Celeste Ng, is thebestseller of The New York Times of 2014, which describes identitycrisis, life achievement, race, gender, family and personal path. It explores the divisions between cultures and the rifts within afamily, and uncovers the ways in which mothers and daughters, fathers and sons,and husbands and wives struggle, all their lives, to understand one another.“Lydia is dead. But they don’t know this yet.” this is the beginning of thisbook. So it makes people wonder that how she died, and why she died. And thisis what kind of family which still didn’t know that their favorite child isdead. And these are the questions that this paper wants to make clear.Therefore, this paper will discuss the reasons that directly or indirectlycause Lydia’s death from the perspective of family education, parents’relationship, parents’ equal love, and family background. Because these factorshave very important impacts on children’s growth and development. Something bador regretful will happen if any of these go wrong.
