The Second Sex written by Simone de Beauvoir has reviewed such a truth , 'women has been under the enthralling’ ,women belongs to the second sex while men has belonged to the first sex. Meanwhile, families ,marriage ,which are all the tools used for binding the women. In recent decades, with the elevation of the status of women, more and more films concerned with the women’s growing up and the self-consciousness has appeared in front of the public. Many female actresses have been always the target for the scholars to study. This article will discuss about the female emotions .The cellist Jackie in the Hilary and Jackie and the ballet dancer Nina in the The Black Swan have been analyzed by many scholars from in-and-abroad.When the values and the lives are controlled by the men, they are prone to be suited in a less privileged situation.

Appreciating the two films Hilary and Jackie and The black swan ,the scholar all over the world explored it from many perspectives. The overseas researches about the black swan are very few. One of them suggests much of the craziness of Nina’s life regardless of the tale of a mentally deranged dancer along with the thread of the growth of Nina.(John Petrakis, 2010).Besides, there is a study abroad discussing the means of artistic expression of the black swan. (2010, Ross Douthat). The literature materials about the film Hilary and Jackie are more concerned with extension of the content of films.i.e. the true story on which the film based on. It provides more details which the film itself doesn’t provide.(Hilary and Jackie ,2007) Luckily, domestic scholars’ studies also flourish on these two films. Such as from the perspective of the art of music(Kuo Yao), the self-construction of the feminist characters or the hardships in the gro#231;f Nina in the film the black swan. (Daizhao Li, 2014). For Hilary and Jackie, some domestic researchers study it from the perspective of the character tragedy of Hilary(Wen Yang) or the music legend in the Hilary and Jackie.(Yiwei Chao,2013).

The basic tendency for feminist is to fight against the system of patriarchy which dominates the world for thousands of years. However, women respond differently in different times. Firstly ,it’s the liberal feminists’ thought of women; Secondly ,it’s the radical feminists’ of women; Thirdly, it’s the Marxist feminists’ thought of women. (Daizhao Li, 2014)

Till now, the analysis of the female role is just limited in the single film itself, either The Black Swan ,or Hilary and Jackie .There have never been any analysis of the comparison of the two characters. As for my paper, based on all the information or standpoints reflected in these previous studies summarized above, the article would like firstly made the comparison between the two characters from the perspective no matter in the personality nor in the fate from the angle of the feminism. They are both the characters similar to the emotional experience and the elites of the artistic career. The comparison of them could have the spark of the thoughts. We can dig out the goodness and the weakness from their success or the tragedy. I believe through the comparison ,we could achieve the enlightenment of earning the happiness.
