摘 要

中国民间剪纸艺术凝聚着中华民族几千年来的文化和历史。在不断积累和创新中，剪纸艺术以其独特的魅力，吸收民间的精髓，创造越来越多的具有艺术价值的作品，展现着深厚的中国传统文化。荆楚剪纸艺术则是中国民间剪纸艺术中的一大瑰宝。它深刻地展现着我国传统文化深厚的造型观念和审美观念。而我国目前对剪纸艺术在平面设计中的运用的研究相对欠缺。灿烂的传统文化正在现代设计的潮流中迷茫地寻找自己的定位。而对于设计师来说，在灵感枯竭的当下，回归本土文化，探求其在现代平面设计中 的多样性研究才是正确的道路，既要传承传统，又要延展创新，以适应当代的审美要求。

本文将从荆楚剪纸的起源及发展、艺术特征、在当代平面设计中的应用等方面进行分析和深究，从而总结出荆楚剪纸的艺术效果及审美价值，探讨怎样把荆楚剪纸艺术丰富的文化内涵与当代平面设计的时代元素特点相结合，系统地梳理出在当代平面设计中可以应用的丰富的荆楚剪纸图样及元素，带动当代平面设计进一步的发展，激发崭新的时代气息。为当代平面设计人提供更多实际的借鉴，能够让他们多多把眼光投向传统文化，设计出更多富有传统的丰富文化内涵和现代感极强相结合的优秀的平面设计作品。
