1. Introduction

1.1 Research background

As the economic interaction is deeper, we are focusing more on the other culture. Sports is an aspect among it. Since the 90s of the last century, basketball as a sports was appearing in our sight. And we knew it mainly from NBA -- a professional tournament in the US. Gradually, in 1995, CBA(China Basketball Association) was founded. Compared with NBA, the basketball players in CBA are almost Chinese and in the last several years, CBA begins to introduce the foreign players to improve the current basketball level. On the contrary, NBA, as the top association, always appeals to the basketball talents from all over the world involving it. That#8217;s a virtuous circle which allows the association to keep enough talents. About the basketball level, out of question, it certainly relates to the performance of basketball players. However, does it fundamentally depend on the date of founding of Association? The answer is NO for fair. Then where should we pay more attention concerning the problem mentioned above?

In view of that the quality of American players is better than that of Chinese players, specifically, we can aim at the research for the basketball players. That is to say, there exists the big difference between China and the US as regards the education for the children in terms of the physical quality. For a long time, the US makes a point of cultivating the active ability of American children. And as to China, it is more important for learning the knowledge than for practicing. Most families often neglect to encourage children to do more sports or take part in some physical exercise. We can see the comparison is so clear that we should emphatically do the analysis of the difference in depth and figure out the causes which is beneficial to promote our country#8217;s development of child#8217;s education.

1.2 Need for the study

Theoretically speaking, education is being an issue nowadays. The research on the family education can give us a specific knowledge of what deficiency we have compared with the advanced educational system. Children as the foundation of a country, are great significant to all of us; in this case, we have to attach more importance to the education for children, especially the family education in that this accompanies every child from their childhood to adulthood. Good education just like a piece of vital guiding drug infuses a stream of emerging power into our home. And it can be a trend, an advanced trend.

Practically speaking, the family education refers to the child#8217;s personal development, and in a appropriate way, not only children#8217;s thought but also their physical quality will go in a good direction. And that may do something for the building of a popular society. In addition, the cultivation for children will add to the competitiveness with other powerful nations in regard to some subjects. Meanwhile, it is also a process that our country is stepping forward.

2. Literature review

2.1 Previous studies on the culture of basketball

As far as we know, in our country, basketball is much less popular than that in the US, which can be shown in the two countries basketball culture. America encourages students to play basketball in schools, especially high schools and colleges. So in colleges, they often hold the basketball league match. What#8217;s more, the street basketball culture may be the other typical one. All above cannot be found in our country. If this culture generates, it must begin from the smallest unit--family. And the main point we can see is that Chinese basketball players are much inferior to American basketball players. The scholar Liu Yuhua(2004) points out that at the end of 19^th century, basketball turned up in China and began to be accepted by Chinese. That is, China as a follower, his basketball culture basis is not secure enough, which may be one of the causes to the comparison. It#8217;s investigated that in Olympic games, American team only misses 4 champions. While Chinese basketball players can hardly involve in the NBA. It is truth that can#8217;t be changed in a short time.
