1. 研究目的与意义(文献综述包含参考文献)
Since ancient times, marriage has been regarded as one of the most important things in people's life, the core of human ethics, also an important part of human society. But for a long time, it seems that religion is independent of secular life, and its essence is a kind of people's spiritual sustenance, but religion is not connected with human marriage and their family. In people's traditional impression, China's traditional religion such as Confucianism, Buddhism, Taoism has a neutral attitude towards marriage, because these religions believe that the people should concentrate on cultivation, rather than care about their marriage. But this is not the reality: religion is an essential major factor in human life, and it has a close relationship with people's lives, thoughts and other components, namely, these factors are interrelated, mutual infiltration and mutual influence. Whether it is the idea of Chinese Confucian culture, or the idea of traditional religion such as Buddhism, Taoism, or Christianity, one of the mainstream religions in the US, both of them believed that marriage is very important and sacred to human beings. Confucianism has far-reaching influence on Chinese traditional marriage concept. The essence of marriage is regarded as the fundamental of the relationship between the monarch and the father, the key to the family's rise and fall, so people's attitude towards the wedding is "to be reverent and prudent". Buddhism believes that people have to make the whole race prospect through marriage, and through the formation of families, they can perpetuate their own kids, which does not affect a Buddhist practice, but also to provide a material basis for Buddhists. Therefore, marriage plays a very important role in Buddhism. Tai Ping Jing, a classic work of early Taoism, believes that if there is no marriage relationship, it will inevitably lead to the disharmony of Yin and Yang, and human beings are unable to reproduce. Christianity is one of the mainstream religions in the United States, where is a traditional custom, that is, the church will hold the weeding for its believers. According to Genesis of the Holy Bible, God created Adam and thought that living alone was not good for Adam, so a rib was taken from Adam to create Eve as the spouse of Adam. Adam and Eve were also considered as the ancestors of human marriages. All above indicate the important influence of religion on marriage, and the form of marriage and the customs of weddings reflect that the marriage concepts of China and the United States, the two countries with different cultural backgrounds, are influenced by religion. Through the understanding of religion and the deep analysis of religious belief, and connecting them with human social life, we can understand deeply the history of marriage concept, the basis of rich and colorful wedding customs, and learn more social customs, humanistic customs, in order to explore the law of human development. In this context, with China and the United States as specific cases, we can understand Sino-American culture more deeply, analyze the differences between Chinese and American culture, appreciate the traditional wedding and the American Western wedding to broaden our horizons. In addition, through the study of religion, it can stimulate more people's interests, and relate to people's real life, realizing the aim of "teaching goes together with pleasure". And through the study of religion, of the Sino-American marriage customs, etiquette and other aspects, we can see the other side of the Sino-American marriage, and understand our traditional culture, American culture more deeply. In this way, we take its essence, discard its dross, and combine these essence with our modern culture, make our society more prosperous.
