摘 要

王佐良先生博古通今，学贯中西，著述等身，成就卓著，在国内外学术界（集教育家、外国文学家、作家及诗人于一身）享有盛誉。在翻译领域上，王佐良的贡献可谓卓越超凡，他的译著以散文、诗歌、戏剧、小说为主，英译汉、汉译英皆有，而且几乎每一篇译著都是精品，其译学思想立论新颖其内容隽永新鲜，耐人寻味，值得很好的借鉴与研究。然而目前学界对王佐良的翻译成就，尤其是对其翻译风格的研究却少之甚微。本文旨在通过浅析王佐良自身翻译主张的翻译风格、翻译思想和理论基础，来揭示他的翻译成就在我国翻译理论建设与翻译实践发展，特别是在文学翻译事业中的价值和意义。

1. Introduction

Mr. Wang Zuoliang is our foreign linguist and literary critic, but also translation theorists and practitioners in the translation of poetry and prose translation is particularly prominent. The translator’s persistence, however, refers to the relative stability of the translator’s style resulting from his quantitative accumulation in the course of formation and development of his style to which he constantly contributes through his creative personality. One’s translation style is also likely to be diversified, for instance, translation style of verse , prose, drama, provided that he maintains his persistence.

4.1 Definition
