This paper includes four parts. Firstly, theintroduction part will introduce the poet and his poem “The Love Song ofJ.Alfred Prufrock”. In this part, the information about Eliot’ s lifeexperience, literary status, famous works, writing techniques in this poem,main ideas and the summary of present researches will be included. Then, theimages in this poem are divided into two parts, images in non-human beings’ senseand images in human beings’ sense. In each part, the images are classifiedagain. Images in readers’ presence and images in their absence are presentedrespectively. The meanings of these images are analyzed as proved by someexamples. The last part is conclusion. The whole paper will be summarized andthe limitations of this paper will be stated in this part.
