Then it will fullydescribe these preposterousness and rebellion caused by characters' action,ideas, language etc. Finally, by comparing Jim-type’s preposterousness andrebellion with the English highbrow culture, this paper hopes to arrive at theconclusion that Kingsley Amis tries to criticize English highbrow culture in anironic way.
