Translation strategy is an indispensable part of translation teaching. When discussing translation strategies, people often mention the dichotomy between literal translation and free translation, semantic translation and communicative translation, domestication and foreignization translation concepts, and many people tend to confuse these concepts together as well as debating about which translation strategy to choose is better in the translation process. As one of the four great classical masterpieces of Chinese literature, the Romance of Three Kingdom's English translation version-the interpretation of traditional Chinese culture's unique language characteristics, has great reference value and significance for the choice of translation strategies as well as its further researches. Based on the Romance of The Three Kingdoms translated by Moss Roberts, this paper analyzes the application of translation strategies in the translation of parallel structures in the Romance of Three Kingdoms, which is widely used in the Chinese ancient prose.
