This paper means to analyze the English songs’translation based on the acculturation theory perspective, especially the specifictranslating methods of English songs’ lyric to Chinese. At the beginning, thispaper will briefly introduce what researches have been done and summarize thesepapers and researches meaningful contributions. At the second part, this paperwill compare several original English songs’ lyrics and its Chinese version andthen analyze what translation methods have been utilized and illustrate itsdisadvantage. Many examples will be shown for a better comprehension. Afteranalyzing amount of textual materials, at the third part, the main body of thispaper, it will further give the author’s conception of English songs’translation and put forward author’s understanding about the strategies ofEnglish songs’ lyric translation.
