Takingthe translation of Loy Luck Club by Chen Naishan 2010 as the example, thispaper focus on the cultural conflicts during the course of E-C translation. Asthe representative work of depiction that reflects the contradiction andconflict between American Chinese culture, the Joy Luck Club and its Chineseversion deserve detailed study. In terms of translation strategy andcross-cultural communication, this paper analyzes the differences betweenAmerican and Chinese culture in the respects of religious faith, family values,language thinking and social custom. In order to provide new ideas for E-Ctranslation, this paper makes a further discussion about how cultural conflictsinfluence E-C translation and find the approaches to it.
