1. 研究目的与意义(文献综述)

in the past several decades,with the deepening of china’s all-around opening up, the connection betweenchina and other countries is much more intimate than ever before. buildingengineering industry, as the industry of important economy pillar of china, hasbeen the pioneer of the “going out strategy’, as a result of which, a growingnumber of oversea building engineering projects, in the charge of

china’s corporations, such as china stateconstruction engineering corporation(cscec), china communications constructioncompany(cccc) and

china railway engineeringcorporation(crec)-three biggest representatives in this area, are booming. asis known to us all, english is the most widely used language. therefore, english is commonly used in projectintroductions, feasibility study reports, bidding documents, contracts,specifications and correspondances, thus it can be seen that english plays avital part in oversea building engineering projects. however, complex and sophisticatedas building engineering english is, it is hard for those employees or employerswho do not have a good knowledge of english to progress their work smoothly.day by day, it is adverse to the long-term development of this area. so knowinghow to grasp building engineering english is the only way to further china’sbuilding engineering to the global level.

2. 研究的基本内容与方案

This paper means to introducesome learning strategies for Building Engineering English. The paper consistsof five main parts. The first part will give a brief introduction to BuildingEngineering English, where the definition and features of Building EngineeringEnglish will be given. The second part is to explain the significance oflearning Building Engineering English. The third part will analyze the learningstrategies for Building Engineering English from the lexical level. Manymethods of memorizing Building Engineering English words will be exhibitedhere. The fourth part will summarize the features and learning strategiesespecially the translation skills for Building Engineering English form the syntaxlevel. The fifth part is to make a comparison between common English withBuilding Engineering English from thegrammatical level. Finally, it’s a conclusion part. We will further grasp themain intention of this paper and explore more about the learning strategies forBuilding Engineering English.

The research includesfollowing methods in this thesis: literature research method, induction methodand comparison analysis method.
