The “stream of consciousness” is used to express the flow characteristics of consciousness. It is a psychological vocabulary that was first proposed and used by the American psychologist William James. "Literature Stream of Consciousness" is to express people's thoughts and feelings and the most direct psychological changes through the form of literature. It is first seen in the Anglo-American literary world from the end of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th century. The political and economic background of its emergence is turbulent. Therefore, "stream of consciousness" has become a medium for people to express their deep feelings of subjective feelings.Dostoevsky, Proust, Joyce are outstanding representative writers of this genre. They use their own works to push the expressive skills of consciousness flow and the stream of consciousness to the peak.
During the past two centuries after William James raised the concept of
“stream of consciousness”,much researches have been done over it.Previous studies on it are limited on the significance of it on the development of modern psychology. In Integration and Differentiation - William James and Modern Psychology(2007),Shuanghu Fang focuses on the relationship between “stream of
consciousness” and modern psychology. With the development of stream of consciousness in writing, scholars move their focus from psychology onto literature. In Comment on the stream of consciousness of V. Woolf's "Lighthouse"(2000),Sen Li explores how Woolf skillfully uses indirect inner monologues, free associations, symbolic techniques, time montages, multi-view narratives and other stream of consciousness techniques to reveal the changing inner world of the characters, thus achieving her true life. When stream of consciousness techniques are adopted into eastern literature, the research trend turns to it.In Stream of consciousness stream orientalization(1986),Yaoliang Song holds that as far as the development of literature itself is concerned, the emergence of this tendency has certain historical inevitability; however, the reality of Chinese society gives it a strong motivational factor for its development.
Criminal novel is a literary genre based on logical reasoning , criminal psychology and criminal investigation. Although considered as a part of popular culture, criminal novels have been paid little attention in academic circles. Compared with other literary genres, there are fewer studies on it. However, as a unique literary genre, criminal fiction can provide a typical example of how authors manipulate readers. The famous British detective novelist Agatha Christie expresses the characteristics of the stream of consciousness in And Then There Were None, and combines the reasoning detective works with the stream of consciousness, using exquisite and grotesque ideas, and unexpected endings in order to create this outstanding detective mystery novel. In the novel, the murder and reasoning under the control of consciousness break the shackles of the traditional model, attract readers and become the classics of detective novels.Different from the subversive appearance of the stream of consciousness in traditional literature, the use of such a technique in criminal novels has also achieved gratifying achievements. However, this genre of criminal novel has not received enough attention in the field of literature, therefore there is still a lack of analysis on the combination of stream of consciousness and criminal novels.

Therefore, the characteristics of the literary language of consciousness flow are revealed.Besides,Vera's condemnation of her own heart turned into an invisible shadow, always lingering around her, so that she was later in the hallucination and finally committed suicide. Here, the language form of free association is used. Moreover, although everyone has denied their crimes, their hearts have been condemned by their conscience. The protagonist's large psychological description takes care of the Aesthetic Features of "Liquidity, Hybridity and Rendering" in Stream of Consciousness Literature.Under the guidance of this main goal, various resources will be searched to identify the topic for the paper, including foreign and national journals and published essays, and holistic analysis of these raw data will be conducted and concluded in the paper, serving as the supporting material of the author’s individual study and research into the subject matter.
