Literature Review Feminism can be traced back to the Renaissance and reformation in Europe, when humanism advocated natural rights, which, in fact, implicitly included the concept of women抯 rights(Hu Wenyan, 2008). So as the slogan 揺veryone is equal?became more and more popular, the equality between men and women was put forward, but feminism was not taken seriously at that time. Liu jing once said that the feminist movement was born in the bourgeois revolution in France in the 18th century. Under the influence of the democratic revolution, women also strove to pursue equal rights with men( Liu Jing, 2008). At this point, feminism really onto the historical stage. The germination of western feminism can be seen as early as the 19th century in the works of various writers and social critics, such as George Eliot, Jane Austen, the Bronte sisters and Mrs. Browning(Li XinYang Hong, 2010). The early feminism can be seen from the works of these female writers. Female writing is not only a literary phenomenon, but also reflects the social and economic status of women behind this phenomenon. As the publication of sense and sensibility in1811, the whole world was greatly startled, which is one of Jane Austen抯 most famous works. In recent years, a great number of scholars at home and abroad have mostly devoted themselves to study feminism in her works, and explored her views on marriage,etc. They have also made some achievements in these research fields to certain degree. In the paper 慉 study of female consciousness in Jane Austen抯 literary works?written by Wang Kun and Yan Xiaoyun, they pointed out that as a middle class woman at that time, Jane Austen was extremely dissatisfied with the status and life of women under the patriarchal system and had rebel psychology, which further influenced the author抯 whole creative career. On the one hand, since the society at that time was male-dominated, women were at a disadvantage from the very beginning, and marriage was the only way for women to obtain happiness. On the other hand, It was the choice of the most women at that time to live by men. So women continue to learn accomplishment, show lady demeanor, and hope that their looks and figure in line with the male aesthetic standards. Like Marianne at the time, it was common for women to choose a mate based on appearance and money. Generally speaking, previous studies have deeply studied feminism in sense and sensibility. The pursuit of reason is the theme of this novel, so it is of great significance to study the emotional changes in sense and sensibility. Through analyzing Austen抯 work, we can see the source of women抯 pursuit and provide more references for modern women.

2. 研究的基本内容、问题解决措施及方案

In the first place, I read the chinese version of the novel to know roughly what爐he爏tory爄s燽efore營燿elve into爐he燿etails. In the process of it , I had to judge whose translation is the best so that I can have a better understanding of the novel. Then, I began to see the film sense and sensibility which was directed by Ang Lee. In fact, just reading the chinese version is not enough for me to understand the plot thoroughly. I hope I can have a deep impression of the protagonists, and even maybe I can find some points that I missed when I looked at the translation. Lastly, I went back to the original novel. There is no denying the fact that the translation of a work is more or less distorted, and many translations involve the translator抯 own understanding, so we have to go back to the original to get the author抯 true thought, In the second place, I searched relevant study of recent 10 years on the Internet. In addition, I found lots of papers on websites such as WIP and CNKI, and consulted the school library and electronic library. After consulting the materials, I will integrate them, such as their framework structure and contents, so as to find out what is beneficial to my paper. Finally, I will construct the framework of my thesis and the key points of my writing. The first chapter is introduction, including the brief background of the author and the work sense and sensibility. The second chapter is Literature Review. The third part is emotional contrast between two sisters. The fourth part is feminism in sense and sensibility. The next part is views on marriage in different times. The last part is conclusion.
