1.目的及意义


Purpose and meaning


In the age of globalization and information , all ages are increasingly focusing on English learning. English has become the second most important language among Chinese people in their work and life. In the fields of international politics, military affairs, economy, science and technology, culture, trade, and transportation, English is also a crucial communication tool. With the continuous expansion of China’s opening to the outside world, the advancement of science and technology, and the improvement of its international status, it is imperative to create a large number of specialized personnel who are proficient in foreign languages, so that China can play a greater and more active role in international affairs. Therefore, learning English well has great practical significance and far-reaching historical significance for achieving these goals. English, as a language that has been in contact with children since childhood, is also a very vital subject in our school education. In the process of learning, the middle and high school period can be said to be a very critical period. In the past, there have been many studies that are more biased toward primary school, preschool or college students, so I chose to focus on secondary school students when selecting topics. Furthermore many scholars studied the influence of personal factors, motivations, emotions, and family factors on students' English learning. When choosing a topic, I chose the class atmosphere that is less frequently touched as an influencing factor,. Because the class is an important place for student life learning . A good class atmosphere can improve students' multifaceted qualities. I hope to contribute to the research between class atmosphere and English learning.

Overseas and domestic research status

At present, English learning has attracted more and more attention from schools and parents, and English as a foreign language, people’s drive around you and the overall language atmosphere also play a very important role in learning. Therefore, increasing educationalists, psychologists, and foreign language teaching experts pay attention to the influence of environmental factors such as family atmosphere and class atmosphere on English learning.

In the magazine Psychology Science, Lu Jiaxuan and others published an article entitled "Classroom and Atmosphere in Primary and Secondary Schools, Impact of Classroom Directors' Emotional Qualities on Adolescent Students' Emotional Qualities: Based on Multi-Layer Linear Analysis". It was pointed out that class atmosphere is more significant for primary and middle school students' emotions and learning motivation. The impact of this will in turn affect the students’ English learning.Ren Jun pointed out in his dissertation Study on Creating Strategies for Classroom Atmosphere in Junior Middle Schools. Class atmosphere includes many kinds, such as psychological atmosphere. Building a good and harmonious class atmosphere can improve students’ academic performance and enhance their self-confidence. The appropriate guidance of the head teacher, the friendly relationship between the students and the active competition all help the students’ learn.By investigating the status quo of research on selected topics, I have made it clearer about the direction of my research and enriched my research on the basis of previous research.

2. 研究的基本内容与方案

Basic content, objectives, proposed technical solutions and measures

The study focuses on the influence of class atmosphere in middle school students' English learning. It comprises of four parts. Part one is introduction. Part two is literature review and research design. Part three conducts data collection and analysis. Part four concludes the study. My research goal is to explore the relationship between class atmosphere and English learning. If a good class atmosphere can promote English learning, then how to mobilize the class atmosphere can maximize the positive effect between them. My technical solution mainly adopts the graded questionnaire survey method and the matrix questionnaire survey method. It is the graded questionnaire survey method, that is, lists the answers of different grades. The respondent chooses the answer method according to his own opinion or feeling. The matrix type, that is to say, arranges several questions and answers of the same kind into a matrix, and the respondent compares the methods of answering. My questionnaire is mainly composed of four scales and a basic information problem. They are the study motivation questionnaire, the youth study burnout questionnaire, my class questionnaire survey, and the aikten procrastination questionnaire survey. The sample size is 280---340 people. Finaally,Use spss software to analyze the student's questionnaire data and determine the relationship between class atmosphere and English learning.
